I’ve always enjoyed photography.  Over the years I owned everything from a Polaroid Swinger and kodak instamatic with flashcubes to a manual SLR and DSLR.  In 2011 I got my first iPhone.  Now I had a camera with me all the time.  My daughter suggested that I set up an Instagram account since I like taking photos, she thought I would enjoy posting them. In 2013, I decided to challenge myself to post a photo a day for a year.  Most photos were on my walks to and from work, or in my neighborhood and nearby Washington Square Park.  Needless to say I met my challenge, and in fact, kept on going till this day.

In recent years my daily walks have become longer.  Covid gave me the time and motivation to spend more time outdoors, as there was not much else going on.  Soon after that, retirement came, opening up much time in my days.

My photos have definitely evolved over the years, along with models of my iPhone.  I still exclusively use my phone, and the editing that comes with it.  These years of photo walks have made me much more observant, always looking for something or someone interesting to snap a photo of.  My goal in a photo is to capture a moment.
